Any Hero cards and Brookdale Card Making

We gathered at my friend Mary's Assisted Living complex, Brookdale at Fisher's Landing on the 23rd  and made cards with the residents.  We also signed birthday cards for those that have March birthdays.  And we wrote a few Any Hero letters for OWH.  Here are the cards I took to write in.  They weren't quite finished when I went, so a couple of us finished putting them together.  There were plenty left over, so I'll take them to our next card making party.

It's always nice to see Mary and see how far she has come in the last 3 years with her speech since she had a stroke.  While we were talking, she came to a word she couldn't quite retrieve from her memory banks and out came a quiet "dammit"... we had a good chuckle at how easily she could spit that one out.  :)  She is in my mind and in my heart every day.
