Ground control to Major Tom...

A few weeks back on my last trip out to Peddler's Pack (Beaverton, OR), I picked up a really great new stamp:  "I love you to the moon and back."  I also grabbed some great patriotic papers.  One of them I used here,  navy with the white stars all over.  I started by cutting it into card front sizes and let my imagination run wild.  I made some for Any Hero cards with different sentiments too.

I also got some really great patriotic papers from one of our regular card makers at East Woods Presbyterian Church.  We've started bringing in papers that we're tired of, or have an extra supply of and trade.  Free paper is GOOD.

Anyway, THIS card just sort of evolved while I was at my desk.  I remembered I had a couple of sets of outer space type stamps, and thought that would go perfectly with the new stamp.  I really like how it turned out.  (My Mom always said to take pride in what you do.  Grin.)

I hope some little person gets this that remembers Mom or Dad reading this story to them when they were still home before they went off to serve in the military.  And then shows it to Mom or Dad when they come back from service and gives them a BIG hug and shows them the card again!
